Wine Glass Charms - A History (Of sorts!)
Years ago, in an English household of wine drinkers, one person was fond of drinking from whichever glass she was closest to. This caused friction amongst the family.
One day the youngest member travelled to the far off land of America where she discovered an answer to their problem, small rings decorated with different coloured beads.
She carried them home and slipped a ring around the stem of each wine glass. The next time someone tried to drink from the wrong glass, a cry was heard - "Hands Off, That Glass Is Mine", and from that day on, harmony was restored to the household.
